On March 24th, President Trump met with 25 Medal of Honor Recipients in the Oval Office of the White House to commemorate Medal of Honor Day the following day, March 25th. The President was honored to host these great men and women of the United States Armed Services, the greatest force for peace and justice the world has ever known.

“Each of you has risen above and beyond the call of duty in defense of our country, our people, and our flag. You have poured out your hearts, your sweat, and your tears like few others, and your blood -- most importantly your blood for the United States of America.”

During the meeting, President Trump delivered remarks conveying his admiration and respect he has for these true American heroes. The President was presented with a copy of “Portraits of Valor” signed by those in attendance, as well as over 200 Medal of Honor recipients. President Trump also thanked the Congressional Medal of Honor foundation for preserving the stories of these Medal of Honor recipients for future generations.

“To all of those gathered here today, and to all of those warriors who could not be with us, we thank you. Your acts of valor inspire us -- and they show us that there is always someone on the night watch to ensure a bright sun rises on America each and every morning.”
